AGWO's Response to the Ministry of Manpower’s Press Release on 9 September 2021

The Alliance of Guest Workers Outreach’s Response to the Ministry of Manpower’s Press Release on 9 Sep 2021 on the “Easing of Restrictions for Migrant Workers” The Alliance of Guest Workers Outreach (AGWO), a movement of Hope Initiative Alliance, has been working closely with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020—to provide holistic care for our guest workers living in dormitories. As a community partner of MOM, AGWO welcomes and acknowledges the Press Release that MOM issued on 9 September 2021. We are delighted to see our vaccinated guest workers gradually returning to the community with health and safety protocols still put in place through a prudent approach. AGWO is pleased to be working alongside MOM and other relevant authorities to recommence activities such as movie screenings, wellness, sporting & leisure events, and also beginning to introduce religious services at the Recreation Centres (RCs) and in dormitories. AGWO is also delighted to continue to work closely and support MOM's good work and initiatives in the days ahead in serving the community and organising excursions for the vaccinated guest workers to various attractions. Through this continued partnership, we aim to reach out to more guest workers in our midst and make a valuable impact on their lives.
