Adopt a Dorm
How it started
During the 2020 circuit breaker we set out on a mission alongside the Ministry of Manpower to help aid in the vast needs factory converted dorms were facing in Singapore.
With growing need and connections with FCDs we launched Adopt a Dorm to enable partners to oversee and look after as many dorms as they indicated manageable.
How it works
We provide the opportunity for communities, organisations and corporations to become connected and invest in a particular dorm. The engagements required at its least is basic befriending, get to know these men! From their explore how you can better support them. It could be through educational programmes, professional services like career/life coaching, legal aid and recreational activities like enjoying a game of sports!
At its core AAD is building through relationships. When we understand the heart of people we can befriend and serve in relevant ways.
How to get started and what to expect
1. Share your preferred dorm location
2. Share preferred size of dorm (between 15-400 men in each)
3. You will receive a basic on-boarding with us
4. Introduction to Dorm IC via Whatsapp
5. Site visit with AGWO rep
